Well. Landed in colombo at 5am (sri lankan time) and managed to meet my new friend Wije (pronounced Wijay) at 6am after wrestling with emigration haha. Wije is really nice, standard sri lankan vibe – very chilled and welcoming.. We then set on our 3 hour journey to kosgoda, with stopping for a cup of tea of course. The house im staying at is pretty big! And seeming as im the only boy volunteer, i get my own room 😏 the weather is unbelievable. Its ridiculously hot. And the beach, my god its literally on my door step, like literally i can hear the sea from my bedroom. I will attach a pic for your jealousy. They have a dog and its the softest thing ive ever met, so cute, kind of like a beagle but idk what it is. I haven’t met my volunteer family yet but hopefully will tonight/tomorrow.. Tomorrow i shall be going to a lagoon so stay tuned for that 🙌 from sri lanka with love, jack
